- Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a licensed and/or accredited educational institution. 2. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, rules, procedures, principles, methods and modern practices of accounting, auditing and fiscal operations. 3. Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, rules, and procedures used in government accounting and tax activities. 4. Ability to keep records and accounting books. 5. Analyzes the fiscal documents to determine the legality, correctness and accuracy of the accounts, allocations, funds, income, expenses incurred, disbursements or inventory and certifies fiscal transactions. 6. Be bilingual in the languages of English and Spanish.
This position is subject to Section 3 from the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Under Section 3, to the greatest extent feasible, job training, employment, contracting and other economic opportunities generated by certain HUD financial assistance shall be directed to low-and very low-income persons and businesses and should receive recruitment or contracting priority.
