HOME ENERGY RESILIENCE IMPROVEMENTS AND INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Community Energy and Water Resilience Installations – Household (CEWRI – HH) Program provides households the possibility of acquiring a renewable solar energy equipment, which consists of a Photovoltaic System (PVS) and a Battery Storage System (BSS) under the New Energy and the Solar Incentive Programs. This represents a direct investment in a self-sustaining, regenerative installation that could persist and thrive through physical, economic, and social challenges after a hazard event.

Applicants will be responsible for initiating contact with CEWRI-HH approved and registered Renewable Energy Installation Companies (REIC). Upon determination of eligibility by the Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) and acceptance of the grant by the applicant, both parties shall execute a Reserve Grant Agreement to secure the grants financial assistance. Thereafter, the applicant can hire the approved and participating REIC to install the system.
